Due to the popularity of both the Musculoskeletal and Advanced Body visiting fellowships, we are now offering a week that includes some of the important features of both programs. The musculoskeleta1 portion (approximately 2; days) will cover mainly the knee, shoulder, and spine regions. As in the weeklong musculoskeletal fellowship, a variety of teaching methods are employed including didactic lectures, special independent case reviews and discussions, and small-group discussions of imaging techniques and protocols. The advanced body portion (also 2; days) will include topical coverage of the upper abdomen, male and female pelvis, breast and vascular organs. Description: Many physicians need to devote more time than 1 week of training to magnetic resonance imaging. The Felix Riedel Center for Continuing Medical Education contains a vast array of MR resources ideal for use in self-paced study program. These resources include an extensive MR videotape library, teaching and learning files, and computer-aided tools. Independent study weeks do not include formal didactic lecture. However, the opportunity does exist for the physician to attend daily read-out session in MR body and neuro imaging and to devote time to clinical observations at our MR consoles.
