Tungsten production boost for NATC NORTH American Tungsten Corporation based in Vancouver, British Columbia, has reported that production at its Cantung mine increased in March to 25998 tonnes of tungsten concentrate (WO3) from 24472 tonnes in February. The average grade for March was 1.5 per cent of WO3 with an average recovery of 74.6 per cent.
“We are very pleased with these results and believe that the implementation of new underground mining methods and equipment has certainly helped to achieve this significant increase,” says Stephen M. Leahy, chairman and CEO. The average tungsten APT European free market quote for March was $262.50.
