MINERALS ENGINEERING CONFERENCES MINERALS ENGINEERING '97 July 30th-August 1st, 1997 Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santiago, Chile Minerals Engineering '97 will be the 7th annual minerals engineering conference organised by CSM Associates Ltd, UK. Minerals Engineering '96 was held in Brisbane, Australia, in August 1996, and attracted 155 delegates from 18 countries. The event is being organised in collaboration with Mining Journal Ltd (UK), Minerals Engineering journal (UK), Camborne School of Mines (UK), and the Universities of Chile, Concepcion and Santa Maria (Chile). Hazen Research, Inc.(USA) are current sponsors of the event. The conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, situated in the centre of Chile's capital, Santiago, against the backdrop of the magnificent Andes mountains, near Chile's main ski resorts and the beautiful Pacific coast. Post-conference visits to the mines of E1 Teniente, Andina and Chuquicamata will be available
CALL FOR PAPERS Comminution '98 February 16-18, 1998 Sheraton Hotel, Brisbane, Australia This conference, organised in collaboration with the Julius Kruttschnitt Minerals Research Centre, Australia, and the University of Utah's Comminution Center, USA, will deal with all aspects of the comminution of ores and other materials. Abstracts should be sent to "Comminution '98" by the end of August 1997. Authors will be notified of acceptance, or otherwise, by the end of September, and final papers will be required by the end of March 1998. Papers accepted for publication will appear in Minerals Engineering.
