ANNOUNCEMENT M I N I - S Y M P O S I U M O N A D V A N C E S IN GRID GENERATION ASME Fluids Engineering Conference, Houston, Texas, U.S.A. 20-22 June 1983 In the past few years, surface-oriented grids generated by numerical and/or analytical techniques have played a vital role in the solution of many fluid mechanics problems. Researchers seek new and improved techniques not only for grid generation but also for its control with respect to its dependence on the flow. The purpose of this mini-symposium is to provide a forum for presentation and discussion of current techniques on grid generation and their creative application to fluid flow problems, with emphasis on adaptive grids. The mini-symposium is organized by the Fluid Mechanics Committee of the ASME Fluids Engineering Division. Papers will be selected for presentation based upon reviews of an extended abstract of at least 1000 words, typed double-spaced, stating clearly the purpose, results and conclusions of the work, with supporting figures. Four copies of the abstracts should be submitted to Prof. K. N. Ghia at the address listed below. DEADLINES Submission of Abstracts: 3 December 1982. Acceptance of Papers: 21 January 1983. Author-prepared Camera-ready Mats: 18 March 1983. Papers selected for presentation will be published in a single volume available at the meeting. Inquiries regarding the mini-symposium should be addressed to: Prof. K. N. Ghia, Mail Location No. 70 Department of Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mechanics, University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH 45221, U.S.A. (513) 475-3243.
