ORAL SURGERY IN CHILDREN SAJ.,
B.: Pediatric oral and maxillo-
facial surgery. 606 pp., 966 illustrations. C. V. Mosby Co., St. Louis, 1979. Price U.S. $ 69.00.
Basically, the surgical treatment of diseases is guided by principles and not by age. Although we probably do not need a pediatric oral surgeon, the author has demonstrated in this book that there is a reasonable amount of specific features and treatments making it acceptable to present a textbook on the surgical treatment of diseases in children. Sixteen co-authors are included, with chapters on growth and maturation, 150 pages on congenital, acquired, and developmental deformities containing much valid information, Local anesthesia is dealt with in a separate chapter, as is the problem of excessive drooling. Several of the surgical procedures are presented in drawings. The book should be made available in oral surgery departments and training institutions. E. HJ¢RTlNO-HANSEN Copenhagen, Denmark

An excellent collection of multiple choice questions for undergraduate teaching is
Book. Reviews
presented. Unfortunately only a few will be able to read it since it is published in Dutch. It is to be hoped that the publisher will have it translated into English, because of the quality of the questions. Anyone engaged in teaching will appreciate this addition to one's own "bank of multiple choice questions". The book is in a handy pocket-book format and deserves attention.
