New Editors for Public Health This is the last edition of Public Health to be edited by Dr Richard Slack. After ®ve years, Richard is standing down to devote more time to his multiple other responsibilities and interests. I have greatly admired his capacity to carry on his many duties and work as such a committed editor. Richard has made a huge contribution to the ongoing publication of this venerable journal, maintaining the highest of standards. We have bene®ted greatly from his expertise and dedication and, on behalf of the Council of the Royal Institute, I thank him very warmly. To succeed Dr Slack, I am pleased to say that we have appointed two new joint Editors, Dr Fiona Sim and Mr Phil Mackie. They, I am sure, will safeguard the continuing success and the sustained high quality of Public Health. So, whilst thanking Richard, I also wish our new editors well as they take up the reins.
