In addition to coverage of all the major e x h i b i t i o n s and conferences, we will be introducing some n e w features for the n e w year, dedicated to the pump user around the world. Stan Shiels has earned a worldwide reputation for his excellent seminars w h i c h provide a unique systematic guide to p u m p selection and operation. Stan is no stranger to World Pumps readers, having published a n u m b e r of invaluable features over r e c e n t years. However, in 1997 w e will be introducing a regular series of p u m p surgeries in w h i c h Stan addresses all aspects of p u m p operation, from selection of the p u m p to installation, start-up, service and repair.
