stronger fabric t h a t provides better support for opposing arch impressions. The new fabric is more rigid than the material available previously. Disposable check-bite trays combine three impression techniques into one easy step: (1) accurate impression, (2) counterimpression of the opposing arch, and (3) precise bite registration. Check-bite trays cover more than half of the arch area, which results in multiple bite registration points for more accurate articulation. Disposable check-bite trays are available in posterior (box of 50) and anterior (box of 40) styles. Sideless, two-part Coe-Bite registration trays are used separately for quadrants or can be snapped together and adjusted to four positions to accommodate various size arches. The trays work for triple-function techniques and simple bite registration and are available in boxes of 50 trays. For more information contact GC America (800)323-7063.

The Hygenic Corporation introduces a new endodontic file made of nickel titanium, the elastic and flexible metal that resists damage and breakage. The file design for X-File is double-fluted to maximize cutting efficiency and ease and to increase tactile sense. The flexibility and cutting efficiency enables the file to stay centered within the canal and avoid problems such as ledges, zipping, or perforation. Canal shape and curvature are maintained. Doublefluted X-File instruments can be used in both filing and reaming actions and thus eliminate the need to inventory both K and H files. The Hyflex X-File instruments are available in sizes 08 to 80, which include half-sizes 12.5 to 37.5 in 21 and 25 mm lengths. Starter kits are available. For more information call: The Hygienic Corp.
