The 16th ANNUAL COURSE IN CLINICAL ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAPHY: STATE OF THE SCIENCE IN EEG (1981). This n a t i o n a l l y recognized, c o m p r e h e n s i v e Clinical EEG Course, arranged by th~ Continuing Education Committee of the American EEG Society, will be given on 8-10 June 1981 at the M c C o r m i c k Inn in Chicago, Illinois, immediately preceding the 1981 m e e t i n g of the American EEG Society. The curriculum, faculty and emphasis of the Course are designed to present a state-of-the-art review of e l e c t r o d i a g n o s t i c techniques now relevant in adult, pediatric and neonatal neurology, neuro-otology, and neuro-ophthalmology. Emphasis will be placed on clinical evoked potential (visual, somatosensory, auditory) interpretation, clinical EEG i n t e r p r e t a t i o n at the extremes of age, and Dolysomnography, as well as on thorough review of the current practice of clinical EEG in such areas as the evaluation of epilepsies and encephalopathies, where its value is well established. The Course will be of value both to those training in EEG or neurology and to those already trained in EEG, given the recent rapid evolution of the field and its expansion with newer techniques. Record review (of registrants' own EEG and EP recordings) with individual faculty members, luncheon each day with faculty, 25 CME c a t e g o r y I credits for the full 3-day course, and an e x c e p t i o n a l l y comprehsnive bound f o l d e r - t e x t b o o k containing summaries of the lectures, bibliographies, b a c k g r o u n d material and i l l u s t r a t i o n s will all be included in the registration fee for the Course.
