1986 ANNUAL
MEETING,
NORFOLK,
VIRGINIA
The 13th International Symposium on Controlled Release of Bioactive Materials will be held at the Omni International Hotel in Norfolk, VA, U.S.A., on August 3-6, 1986. This is a very attractive location, on a waterway a short distance from Virginia beach. The Omni Hotel is new, and offers ideal facilities for our meeting. We have negotiated room rates of $70/$80 single/ double, which may be extended for the subsequent workshop also. The program looks excellent; information on this has been sent to CRS members. Plenary lectures will be given by Dr. Joe Robinson (on Controlled Release Oral Drug Delivery) and Prof. Sylvan Witter (title to be announced). Twenty-four invited speakers will give presentations in the agrochemical and pharmaceutical areas, as well as contributed papers. Technical chairpersons are Dr. Curt Thies and Dr. Imtiaz Chaudry, and Dr. George Janes is handling arrangements. Elections will be held at this meeting for the positions of Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer, and a vote taken on a revision of the by-laws of the Society, All members who are able are therefore urged to attend, both for the technical, professional and intellectual value of this meeting, and to contribute their vote in the ballots. For further information, contact the Society’s Administrative Office.
