Sponsored by the Netherlands National Research Centre for Innovative Use of Underground Spaces (Nova Terra), this conference will focus on five principal themes: (1) plRnnin~; (2) Design and use; (3) Construction; (4) Economics, m.Tke~ ing and financing; and (5) Law and politics--national and international law, standards and political opinion with regard to the use of underground space and earth-sheltered structures. Keynote speakers will be invited to give state-ofthe-art lectures relevant to each ofthe m.ln themes. Detailed reviews of reservoirperform--re of selected North Sea fields, presented by specialists from the operating companies; 2. Keynote addresses concernl-Ztopics of special importance to the developmentofNorth Sea reservoirs; 3. Research presentations concernlnZ advances in Nroth Sea reservcir science; 4.
