Nuclear Orthopedics: Part 2 Letter From the Editors UR GUEST EDITOR, Dr. Larry Holder has formulated this second part of our Nuclear Orthopedics Seminar in a unique fashion for a nuclear medicine audience. Individual chapters focus on a specific anatomy rather than the usual disease-oriented approach used in almost all previous articles, book chapters, and Seminars devoted to orthopedic applications using radionuclide methodology. The current approach more closely parallels that which would be found in radiologic articles. The fact that scintigraphic articles may now focus on the ankle and foot or spine, testifies to the degree of sophistication our studies have attained. We are now able to address and contribute useful clinical information to a variety of osseous, soft tissue, and neurovascular disorders in different anatomic locations. Dr. Holder has taken the opportunity to use

our burgeoning fund of knowledge to present the reader with this novel nuclear medicine perspective. The editors would like to express their appreciation to Larry Holder for assembling a gifted national and international panel of authors to share their vast knowledge with us. Nuclear orthopedics is an extremely important area of daily involvement for the nuclear medicine physician. The wealth of information contained in these two issues of Seminars should provide a better understanding of the clinical problems faced by the orthopedist and how we can best help manage these problems.
