Obituary of: Professor Carl M. Harris It is with the deepest sadness and most profound grief that I write this note on behalf of SocioEconomic planning Sciences and myself concerning the recent passing of Professor Carl M. Harris, Journal Editorial Board Member. Carl was a highly regarded member of the local (Washington, DC), national, and international OR/MS scenes; but, more importantly, he was warm, energetic, caring, humorous, and always positive and supportive of others. Words, alone, cannot begin to convey the boundless energy and enthusiasm Carl shared naturally with those around him. As a friend, colleague, and Editor of the Journal he served so selflessly, I believe his spirit remains with us . . . moving us to higher ground for our having known him. Barnett R.
