Online Job Clearinghouse Added to Academy Web Site A new member benefit is live on the AAPM&R Web site: the Physiatrists’ Job Clearinghouse. Members can enter this new members-only section of the Academy Web site to find listings of available PM&R positions. To review this new feature, connect to the Academy home page at www.aapmr.org and select “Physiatrists’ Job Clearinghouse” in the announcements bar at the bottom-left portion of the screen. Launched in February, this important new benefit complements job advertisements placed in The Physiatrist newsletter. Companies and organizations that seek to advertise their available positions for physiatrists now have the option to place an ad in The Physiatrist, the online Physiatrists’ Job Clearinghouse, or both. Another job search tool for members is the new “Professionals Seeking Positions” advertisement section found on the public portion of the Physiatrist’s Job Clearinghouse. Only Academy members can purchase these ads, and resident members receive discounted ad rates. The online Physiatrists’ Job Clearinghouse is an easy-to-find, frequently updated resource of available positions in the field of PM&R. Online advertisements will be live on the Web site for 45 days, and will be posted (and pulled) on the 15th and 30th of each month. Advertisers have the option to remove their online ad before the end of the 45-day cycle if a position is filled. Approximately 85% of the advertisements in each issue of The Physiatrist newsletter are recrnitment ads. Company representatives have reported high satisfaction with, and excellent results from, placing job advertisements in the newsletter. Now, organizations have another way to add greater visibility to their open positions-the Physiatrists’ Job Clearinghouse. Academy members have a new way to gain accessto national listings of positions available in the field. All advertisers have the option to place a print advertisement-either a display advertisement or a new classified advertisement-in an upcoming issue of The Physiatrist; place an online advertisement on the new Physiatrists’ Job Clearinghouse; or place the same ad in both The Physiatrist and on the online Physiatrists’Job Clearinghouse. For details on how to place an online advertisement, contact Kris Rowland at the national office at
