Marine Pollution Bulletin Dr. G. Sewell provided support for the chemical analyses which were supervised by Dr. D. Patel and ably performed by Ms. J. Herndon, in the Division of Environmental Sciences, Columbia University School of Public Health. Dr. M. K. Hecht of Queens College, New York, provided laboratory space. Dr. L. Marcus discussed statistical methods. Dr. D. Patel and Dr. J. Burger provided valuable discussion of chemicals and terns.

The Tenth International Meeting on Organic Geochemistry will be held on 14-18 September 1981 at the University of Bergen, Norway. Topics likely to be included are: petroleum geochemistry of the new European continental shelf; organic geochemistry of coals and kerogens; biological markets; DSDP/IPOD organic geochemistry; environmental organic geochemistry; stable isotopes; analytical techniques; diagenesis and catagenesis organic matter; and migration. Further information from Norwegian Petroleum Society, Attn. E. Lorange, Kronprinsens gt. 9, Oslo 2, Norway.

The Norwegian Symposium on Exploration (NSE-81) will be held on 14-18 September 1981 at the University of Bergen, Norway. Technical papers on exploration, review papers and case histories from proven oil or gas fields are welcome. Geological papers on special problems related to generation and migration of hydrocarbons and geophysical contributions related to resolution of the Mesozoic are especially wanted. Further information from Norwegian Petroleum Society, Attn. E. Lorange, Kronprinsens gt. 9, Oslo, 2, Norway.
