Belco Industries Belding, Mich.
George Koch Sons, Technical Systems Group, has introduced advanced heat transfer technology for the fast, efficient curing of elastomer extrusions. The oven is also useful for the curing of catalyzed liquid finishes, adhesives, and sealants, and for the heat treating (tempering) of plastic components prior to assembly. The new oven design is high-efficiency, gas-fired convection. It has up to three zones, each with its own temperature controls and burners. The oven has unique, integral material handling comprised of several conveyors, which operate independently. Chain-driven steel or fabric belt conveyors are standard. The system is also available with conventional conveyor belting.
Belco Industries designs and manufactures ovens for a wide range of metal-finishing and treatment applications. Ovens for general metal-finishing use include paint and powder curing, moisture drying, batch curing, and dewatering types. Heat treat ovens include applications such as aging, annealing, homogenizing, and preheating. Box-type or drawer-type die-heating ovens are also part of the Belco line. Full system design services are also available.

The Grieve No. 500 is a special 350°F electrically heated monorail conveyor oven, currently being used for the baking of clear lacquer over polished brass lighting fixtures. This final finishing process protects the surface of the parts and prevents the brass from tarnishing. A heat input capacity of 36 kW provides a maximum operating temperature of 350°F. This unit has vertical downward/combination air circulation, provided by two 1,OOO-cfm recirculating blowers driven by two M-hp electric motors. The temperature is controlled and maintained via a digital indicating, solidstate temperature controller.
Cincinnati Industrial Machinery offers standard ovens, custom designs, and prefab components. Styles include floormounted, roof-mounted, suspended, two-zone, A-type, strip processing, and batch. Oven panels and general construction provide maximum strength and rigidity. minimum heat transfer or loss, and an attractive appearance.
