Parker Hannifin to acquire Clarcor Parker Hannifin Corp has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Clarcor Inc in a transaction valued at US$4.3 billion. Headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, USA, Clarcor is a diversified manufacturer of mobile, industrial and environmental filtration products with annual sales of approximately US$1.4 billion and 6000 employees worldwide. Clarcor brands include Clarcor, Baldwin, Fuel Manager, PECOFacet, Airguard, Altair, BHA, Clearcurrent, Clark Filter, Hastings, United Air Specialists, Keddeg and Purolator.
When the transaction closes, Clarcor will be combined with Parker’s Filtration Group. “This strategic transaction is consistent with our stated objective to invest in businesses that accelerate Parker towards our goal of top quartile financial performance,” said Tom Williams, chairman and CEO of Parker Hannifin. “The combination of Parker and Clarcor is highly complementary and offers a great opportunity to combine our strength in international markets and OEMs with Clarcor’s strong US presence and high

APC Filtration expands North American manufacturing and testing operations APC Filtration Inc is relocating two existing manufacturing operations into a new, single facility in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. The move is designed to increase the company’s supply chain efficiency, expand operations in critical air filter manufacturing and filter testing, and create a world class research and development (R&D) facility. APC says that this development will allow the company to more efficiently serve its entire customer base in North America with added responsive manufacturing and distribution footprint. “Having engineering, R&D, manufacturing and testing facilities
under one roof will allow us to quickly develop custom filter products to meet our customers’ specific requirements,” said Russell Kelly, president of APC Filtration. APC will be expanding its cleanroom facility to support growing military, defence, pharmaceutical, life sciences and restoration markets. This cleanroom will be a world class facility manufacturing and testing HEPA and ULPA filters for critical air applications. This expansion complements APC China’s current filter manufacturing and cleanroom operations. The new Brantford facility will focus on development for local markets in North America, while APC China
continues to use its research and development for global product platforms. The target date for building completion is 31 March 2017. APC will start to move its Ancaster,
