1. Original submission
Comments:
1.1. Recommendation
1- Please discuss how prophylaxis rate was higher in splenectomy patients, although they had more VTE. Does it mean prophylaxis was ineffective? Or, VTE happened in those without prophylaxis. Please revise discussion and possibly the results accordingly. 2- How were confounding variables adjusted? Was multivariate analysis used here? What were the confounding variables in the multivariate model?
Minor revision.
1.2. Comments to the author This is an interesting study reporting authors' experience with splenectomy and the higher risk of venous thromboembolism. Not novel, but good piece of information has been presented here.
