T h e t a b l e shows t h e evidence o f a w i d e r a n g e o f dysfunctions demonstrated in t h i s way during t h e e x a m i n a t i o n o f 25 subjects r e p o r t i n g w r i s t pain and a recent diagnosis of ‘tenosynovitis’. I t should b e noted that o n l y t e n o f t h e m had any p h y s i c a l signs consistent with having had such a diagnosis. Unions believe the syndrome will prove as devastating as pneumoconiosis was in the mining industry’. T h i s i l l u s t r a t e s t h e u r g e n t need f o r t h e i m p r o v e m e n t of diagnostic methods and criteria, so that t h e i n e v i t a b l e injustices w i l l n o t continue.
