The c o m p a n y sinters 10 000 a year of t h e p a r t from its 8 7 0 1 3 8 g r a d e steel
powder. Previously m a c h i n i n g a n d milling were used. The alloy p o w d e r used in t h e 11 m m t h i c k g e a r i n c l u d e s copper, iron a n d carbon. 10%
of c o p p e r is infiltrated into t h e steel to give t h e final p a r t a h a r d n e s s of HRB 75 a n d a density of 7.2 g / c m 3. The p a r t ' s i n n e r d i a m e t e r is 23 mm.
