METAL FINISHING • DECEMBER 1998

ACE manufactures ovens that easily remove paint and powder coating from metal items, such as hooks, racks, and parts, without damage. The load is heated to 650 to 8000F (340 to 42TC) in an oxygen-deficient atmosphere where the combustible hydrocarbons decompose. Items leave the oven completely dry. Ash residue is easily removed. The system eliminates chemical stripping. Typical cleaning cycles are 2 to 4 hours depending on the size of the load. Twenty-nine standard sizes are available.
