The distribution of effort for this tenure-track position will be 65% research and 35% teaching. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Animal Sciences or related field with educational emphasis in behavior science. A strong background in an area such as ethology, neuroscience, neuroendocrinology, or environmental physiology will enable the successful candidate to complement and extend existing departmental research and teaching programs. Obtaining extramural funding and establishment of an independent research program in animal behavior is expected. Teaching will consist of lecture and laboratory courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. Direction of graduate student research at both the Master's and Ph.D. level is expected.
