Announcements TRANSFORMING GROWTH FACTOR+s: THERAPEUTICS
CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY, AND
The New York Academy of Sciences will sponsor this conference on May 18-20, 1989, at the Key Bridge Marriott, Arlington, Virginia. The TGF-Ps are receiving major attention as regulators of growth and differentiation. They appear to function in the immune and hematopoietic systems, bone growth and repair, wound healing, and cancer. This broad spectrum of activity suggests that control of the TGF-Ps is a key to understanding biological mechanisms. This conference will consider these aspects as well as the potential for therapeutic application of the TGF-Ps. For further information please contact: Conference Department, The New York Academy of Sciences, 2 East 63rd Street, New York, NY 10021, USA; (212) 838-0230.
