F O C U S Production of polydienes The catalyst has four components: a lanthanide compound, an alumoxane, an organoaluminium compound, and a halogen-containing compound. Many compounds are mentioned but there are no detailed examples. The mixed catalyst is injected into the reactor in the form of a ‘cement’. The polymer products have predominately cis-1,4 linkages and a high content of reactive chain ends.
