This Symposium volume is Briefly Noted because two of its chapters may be useful summaries and sources of reference: “Analytical methodology in the cardiovascular and platelet areas” by Niels H. Andersen and a

group from the University of Washington (28 pp.), and “Analytical procedures for the study of arachidonic acid metabolism in platelets and brain” by G. Galli and colleagues from the University of Milan (IO pp.). The remainder of this volume includes material on the metabolism of the prostaglandins, the cyclooxygenase pathway, the influence of dietary factors, and clinical correlates.
