Recommended practices for HEPA and ULPA filters and clean-rooms The Institute of EnVironmental Sciences h a s p u b l i s h e d a new R e c o m m e n d e d Practice in c o n t a m i n a t i o n c o n t r o l , 'HEPA a n d ULPA filters'. Recommended Practices are t h e result of t h e consensus of e x p e r t s in t h e field of c o n t a m i n a t i o n control as the best c u r r e n t practice. This R e c o m m e n d e d Practice (IES-RP-CCO01.3) covers b a s i c p r o v i s i o n s for HEPA (high-efficiency p a r t i c u l a t e air) a n d ULPA ( u l t r a - l o w p e n e t r a t i o n air) filter units as a b a s i s for a g r e e m e n t between buyers a n d sellers. US Filter's new water treatment programmes The US Filter Corporation h a s a n n o u n c e d its System Improvement Programmes to ensure that existing water purification e q u i p m e n t operates a t original design levels.
