T h e L ocal Arrangements Committee has practically completed its w ork, and now awaits the arrival o f the members o f the American Dental Association f o r the A n nual Session, September 21-25. It gives me pleasure to report at this time that all gen eral arrangements are complete. O nly the m inor details w ill need our attention from this date on. Each and every member o f this commit tee has entered whole-heartedly into the w ork that he was expected to do, and has so energetically pushed his part o f the pro gram that the general chairman has had little to w orry over the ultimate outcome o f the arrangements. Each section has been assigned to a w ell prepared auditorium, where it w ill not be

As the entire meeting w ill be staged in the central part o f our splendid city, the members o f the Association can easily get from any hotel to the farthest section meet in g in an eight minute walk. T h e Local Arrangements Committee this meeting w ill be the largest that the Amer ican Dental Association has ever held. W e are basing our predictions upon the number o f hotel reservations already made, the number o f hotel reservation blanks requested by the various state organizations, the re quests f o r large spaces by exhibitors, our central location and the reputation o f Louis ville as a convention city. From the first, we have had the best o f cooperation from the H otel Keepers’ Asso ciation, and we feel sure that when our guests arrive, they w ill find everything in readiness f o r them. Let me repeat that the local chairman has

T h e American Dental Trade Association w ill hold the greatest exhibit o f dental goods in its history at Louisville. T h at there is a great reaction in fa v or o f this meeting is evidenced by the flood o f orders that were received immediately after space was put on sale. W e have w ord that the various manu facturers and dealers w ill send to Louis ville the most elaborate exhibits that they have ever attempted. Kosair Tem ple contains the most ideal exhibit hall that has ever housed the Dental Trade Association. It is new, beautifully decorated, perfectly illuminated, naturally and artificially, and it provides an environ ment f o r the exhibits that surpasses all others o f the past. T he largest decorating firm in the w orld has contracted to erect and maintain the ex hibit, providing f o r each space a beautifully decorated booth, with ornamental back ground and posts surmounted by electric lanterns. This w onderful hall has 25,110 square feet o f floor space, with 12,502 square feet o f aisle space, after the booths are in place,
