Respiratory medicine and critical care: a call for papers for ERS The Lancet and The Lancet Respiratory Medicine would like to hear from authors of research papers in the fields of respiratory medicine and critical care, as the two journals are planning special issues to coincide with the 2017 European Respiratory Society conference taking place in Milan, Italy, from Sept 9–13, 2017.

Both journals are dedicated to the advancement of respiratory and critical care medicine, and both journals offer a fast-track publication process in which papers can be published online in as little as 20 days from submission. We can also highlight papers in podcasts on The Lancet website. The journals also share a dedicated team of assistant editors who subedit papers after acceptance and thoroughly check data, figures, and tables. All Lancet journals also benefit from having in-house illustrators and production editors who can redraw figures and help to ensure the data are presented clearly.
