Notice of Article Retraction

Retraction: Neurotoxin Versus Neuromodulation for the Treatment of Refractory Overactive Bladder Syndrome Dear Readers, The article “Chancellor MB, Costa F, Kuo HC. Neurotoxin versus neuromodulation for the treatment of refractory overactive bladder syndrome. Tzu Chi Med J 2008 Jun;20(2):109–11” is hereby retracted in its entirety at the request of the first author, Michael Chancellor, due to an overlap of content with the previously published article “Smaldone MC, Chancellor MB. Neuromodulation versus neurotoxin for the treatment of refractory detrusor overactivity: for neurotoxin. Nat Clin Pract Urol 2008 Mar;5(3):120–1”. The duplication in this case occurred inadvertently through submission of the manuscripts to the two journals by different corresponding authors. None of the authors were aware of the overlapped submissions and there were no monetary benefits, grants or commercial sponsorship associated with either article. This also coincided with the time of Dr Chancellor’s transition between two institutes. He left Pittsburgh for Michigan at the end of 2007 and early 2008; changes in e-mails and addresses caused difficulty in getting communications to him, which may have led to the confusion. This was an honest error and readers should refer to the previously published article in Nature Clinical Practice. Urology. Sincerely, Hann-Chorng Kuo, M.D. Editor-in-Chief Tzu Chi Medical Journal [Tzu Chi Med J 2010;22(2):124]
