Rochem emphasis shifts to process waste water Rochem Environmental has reported a net loss of US$1,056,956, or US$O.O6 per share, for the fiscal year ended September 30, 1996 compared with a loss of USS1.713.937, or USSO. per share, for fiscal 1995. Revenues totalled US$1,247,320 in 1995 compared with US$l,554,6 11 a year ago. For the fourth quarter ending September 30, 1996, the loss of US$237,028, or USSO. per share, on revenue of US$319,758, compared with a loss of US$548,511 or US$O.OS per share, on revenue of US$380,477 in the same period of fiscal 1995. “Rochem’s progress during the past year is reflected in cutting its net loss by one third and in redirecting its technical development and marketing toward process-related waste water applications of its separation technology”, said Rochem President and CEO Erick Neuman. “Cost controls implemented during 1996 reduced operating expenses, giving us the structure for future revenue growth with low operating costs, making it possible in 1997 to generate positive operating cash flow”. “Based on our backlog and contracts now in negotiation, we expect revenues to increase in 1997, with a majority of the company’s income coming from product sales or leases in the markets that are key to Rochem’s long-term success-process waste water treatment,” Neuman added.
