SAS Institute has announced the zvailabiliiy of a product for business planning, operations research and project management. The SAS/BR product, already installed in over 450 sites worldwide, i? used for such applications as schedcli J and monitoring complex preiects, df;termining product mix, and planning distribution strategies. In addition, the produs:t can help managers evaluate investmelrt profitability and solve transportation problems. SAS/OR procedures are based on linear pr -~gramming and other operations research techniques. Combining the SAS/OR analyses with SAS/GIUPH procedures allows the information to be displayed as coloured grap s, charts or plots. To ?a& advantage of the SAS/OR option. an installation must have the basic SAS product which performs data management, report writing and statistical analysis.
