Inexpensive SCR catalyst
Production of propylene from acetone
The usual catalyst is made from titanium and vanadium oxides. This one incorporates 5-30% of a natural manganese ore such as pyrolusite. It is very effective in removing dioxins in addition to NOx.
This selective, one-step process uses a combination of a supported copper hydrogenation catalyst and a solid acid such as zeolite beta. US 8,680,355, Mitsui Chemicals Inc, Tokyo, Japan, 25 Mar 2014

SCR catalyst for biomass combustion Combustion gases from biomass contain N, Cl, K, and Si which tend to de-activate the conventional catalyst used to remove NOx and SOx. Addition of a heteropoly acid protects the catalysts from deactivation.
