Patents Seal for connecting between two pile elements
Detail view of the gasket joint for use on wind turbine casing piles up to five metre diameter, patent WO 03/074797.
Applicant: MT Højgaard A/S, Denmark This patent describes a gasket to be used between a pair of cylindrical surfaces, particularly large diameter piles such as those used in the construction of wind turbines. The piles may be four to five metres in diameter and when installing offshore it may be necessary to accommodate misalignment and eccentricity. The radial annulus between adjoining piles may be 70 mm with the gap to be sealed varying from 30 mm to 130 mm. The seal is intended to provide a more economic solution than inflatable seals. Methods for fitting the seal to the pile are discussed. Patent number: WO 03/074797 Inventor: B.S. Madsen Publication date: 12 September 2003
Smoke-control sliding door with a seal
A cross section showing the sliding door and the smoke control seals described in patent WO 03/074829.
Applicant: Dorma GmbH & Co KG, Germany Joint system for air conditioning ducts The invention relates to a seal, parpredetermined clamping force and ticularly for a smoke-control sliding Applicant: Alp S.R.L. Italy A joint system is described which also permits easy release of the door. It comprises a stationary side part (1) and a movable wing (2) has profiled sealing sections (5) joint. which slides parallel alongside the connected to the ducts to form Patent number: WO 03/074919 stationary section. seals are provided with a rigid, laterally protruding component and an elastically deformable sealing profile. The seal is designed to ensure safe and smoke-tight sealing simply and at low production cost. Patent number: WO 03/074829 Inventor: A. Liebscher Publication date: 12 September 2003
Sealing bellows for a ball joint
The profiled joint sections and quick release catches on an air conditioning duct, patent WO 03/074919.
Sealing Technology December 2003
Applicant: ZF Lemförder Metallwaren AG, Germany The invention relates to elastic sealing bellows for a ball joint in suspensions or steering systems of motor vehicles. The bellows (1) are fixed to the joint housing and also to the bolt of the joint bolt via a sealing seat consisting of at least one sealing lip (7), which encircles the bolt. The inside diameter (d) encircling the bolt has a smaller dimension than the outside diameter of the bolt. The novel feature of this design is a reinforcement ring (11), made of an inelastic material and which, when the ball joint is assembled, is a small clearance on the bolt. This design creates a shear spring system whose shear force produced by the deformation of the sealing lip (7) provides a sufficient contact force to obtain long term seal life.
This invention is claimed to provide a boot which is easy to design and manufacture with improved life compared with prior art. Patent number: WO 03/075219 Inventor: O. Abels Publication date: 12 September 2003
A part cross-sectional view of the steering joint bellows described in patent WO 03/075219 showing the reinforcement ring.
