European Patent Office e patent information training The European Patent Office offers training on various aspects of the patent system. Training on patent information and the tools made available to the users is offered as face-to-face classroom training, as live online webinar (www.epo.org/vc) as well as through self-paced e-learning modules (www.epo.org/e-learning). The scope ranges from short presentations to 4-day seminars on patent searching for beginners and advanced users, live online courses on various EPO products, to introductory e-learning modules such as the “Patent Information Tour” (www.epo.org/pitour), the Espacenet Assistant (www.epo.org/espacenet-assistant) or the new European Patent Register Assistant (www.epo.org/ register-assistant). All public e-learning offers, including the webinars, are free of charge. The webinars include the “monthly online patent information newsflash” bringing to you the latest news and updates on patent information related topics. 2.2. Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property The Center is located in Concord, New Hampshire, USA and is part of the University of New Hampshire School of Law. It offers many well respected IP related courses, including, and of particular interest to our readers, patent mining and landscape analysis, as well as US, foreign and international patent searching. 2.3. GO opleidingen patent information The Dutch based GO opleidingen provides basic and refresher courses in patent information and searching. The Basic Patent Information course consists of seven modules. The course provides students with a solid knowledge of patent information, particular attention is given to patent searches, legal aspects, the accessibility and retrieval of patent information. WIPO Worldwide Academy Amongst a wide range of courses and training, an annual programme is launched each June, the Master of Laws (LLM) in Intellectual Property. It is a joint post-graduate program in intellectual property (IP) offered by the WIPO Worldwide Academy, the University of Turin and the International Labour Organisation, International Training Center (ILO-ITC), at the ILO-ITC in Turin, Italy, with financial support from the Government of Italy.
