The new Rondec model 772 is an automatic high speed thick film screen printer with an air operated indexing head which, with a 1 in. substrate, has an output of up to 3500/h

The substrates are delivered to an indexing head which is driven by an air indexing unit. Facilities for interchange of substrates have been incorporated.

Substrate printer for the micro-electronic industry Rondec Screen Process Ltd now introduce their substrate printer, known as the model ‘772’. It is an automatic high speed thick film screen printing machine with a very high degree of accuracy which has been designed especially for the micro-electronic industry. Substrates can be fed by vibro bowl feed, magazine, chute, manually or any other suitable system. Take-off is by a variable speed conveyor which can be adapted to automatic loading onto a furnace belt, or by manual take-off onto furnace setters.

With a 1 in. square substrate an output of 3000/h con be expected. The indexing motor and squeegee head are air operated and there is a no-substrate, no-print device incorporated at the print station which is operated through a specially adapted vacuum switch. Vacuum for substrate holding is supplied by a Gast vacuum pump. With the exception of the take-off drive and vacuum, the ‘772’ is entirely pneumatic in operation. The Rondec light box and registration system has been incorporated into the ‘772’ thus providing highly accurate registration. The whole of the squeegee, screen and master chase can be easily lifted for screen cleaning, without disturbing registration. The rear panel of the machine is hinged to facilitate setting and servicing. Rondec Screen Process Ltd Circle number 38 on Reader Enquiry Service card

New ultrasonic cleaning equipment Sereis 6260 soniclean automatic generators. This new and comprehensive range of 25kHz Soniclean generators replace the well-established and dependable 1190 series of Dawe generators. The latest range incorporates new electronic circuitry providing even greater efficiency and reliability and giving much more effective power into the cleaning tank under practical operating conditions. The many note-worthy features include: Self-turning generator to provide optimum cleaning efficiency with respect to changes of condition within the cleaning tank. Fast, economical and consistent production cleaning. Robust, reliable equipment designed for continuous industrial use. The Series 6290 generators are eminently suitable for operation with the Dawe Series 6264 and 6265 ultrasonic cleaning tanks or with the range of immersible transducers Series 6266. Series 6264 and 6464 cleaning tanks. These economical and relatively inexpensive ultrasonic cleaning tanks have been specially

Vacuum News designed for use with the Dawe range of Soniclean Automatic generators. The Series 6264 tanks are used with the 6290 series of generators operating at 25 kHz. The Series 6464 tanks may be driven by Series 6490 Soniclean generators or used in conjunction with the latest ‘E’ Series 6401 or 6402 Soniclean generators, operating at 40 kHz. Five standard tank sizes between 4 I (0.9 gal) and 114 I (25 gal) are available but tanks of any desired size can be supplied for specific applications. The tanks are made from high-quality stainless steel and may be free-standing or fitted into an existing bench top. Tank fill and drain connections are provided. All tanks in these series are fitted with highly efficient PZT transducers bonded to the underside of the tank base. A range of immersible transducers (Series 6266 and Series 6466 operating at 25 kHz and 40 kHz respectively) is also available for fitting to the base or walls of a customer’s existing cleaning tanks or to suit special cleaning requirements. Temperature controls Santa Barbara, Ca, Astro Industries announces the introduction of three standard models of low cost temperature control systems for use with resistance furnaces and heaters, capable of maintaining temperatures within 1 ‘C. The control instrument is a 3-mode, current proportioning, digital set-point unit with deviation meter. Three scale ranges and thermocouple calibrations are offered as standard. In all models the silicon controlled rectifier power regulator will power either resistive or inductive (transformer coupled) loads and can be specified for 25 or 40 A, 120,208, or 240 V, 50/60 Hz operation. Return line sump diffuser The model R Return Line Sump Diffuser installs on the end of the return line inside the reservoir to reduce the velocity of oil returning from the hydraulic system. It is designed to slow down and spread out the returning oil, to mix with the remaining oil in the sump. The assembly may be ordered with 8 or 30 mesh wire cloth. Magnetic type disc sump strainer The new ML-G model adds magnetic separation to the straining action of the stacking disc design. Alnico magnets attract iron particles to the disc covers and away from the Monel screen for a secondary cleaning action. The magnetic disc sump strainers are isolated from the steel intake piping by means of die-cast aluminium pipe adaptors. The iron particles drop off the disc covers when the unit is disassembled. These units may be ordered with 100, 60 or 30 mesh wire screen. The Lenz Co Circle number 42 on Reader Enquhy Service card

Right pneumatic valve first time with dial-it-yourself selector Putting the right valve in the right place in the shortest possible time is the pneumatic circuit designer’s constant aim : a pocket-size ‘dial-it-yourself’ valve selection disc has been producedfor this DurDose. Given valve performance parameters the disc can be keyed to 2/2, 3/2 and 5/2 valve functions with either poppet or spool valve construction in a variety of porting sizes and actuating modes including manual, mechanical, pneumatic and electro, to disclose the appropriate BS symbol and the valve part number. Since only one symbol and one part number is revealed for each dialling operation, there is no risk of error. Enots Ltd Circle number 43 on Reader Enquiry Service card

Versatile range of vacuum lifting equipment A new Company, Bridon Aerolift, Haldane Halesfield Industrial Estate, Telford, Shropshire has been formed by the Engineering Division of British Ropes to manufacture and sell in the UK, the Aerolift range of vacuum lifting equipment designed by Gthene International of Holland. The range of Aerolift equipment can be fitted to cranes, lorry loaders, fork lift trucks, side loaders and excavators and is capable of lifting loads ranging from a few pounds to 30 tons and over.

the suction pads. The load can then be lifted in safety and is released by closing the valve and releasing the vaccuum. Each unit is fitted with an automatic visual and audible warning device should the vacuum fall below safety level. The suction pads are available in numerous sizes for both flat and curved surfaces. Aerolift can be supplied, powered by an electric, petrol or diesel motor or as an integral unit for fork lift trucks. Hydraulic equipment can also be supplied to customer specifications.

Aerolift is particularly useful for lifting and laying concrete, steel and plastic pipes; lifting smooth or washed concrete slabs or piles, sheet steel and aluminium and other smooth or semi-smooth products. It is also useful for lifting and manoeuvering fragile but bulky loads as no chains or gripping devices are required.

Aerolift equipment is in regular use on the continent in shipyards, steel plants, concrete plants and by the civil construction industry, where it has demonstrated its effectiveness as a means of improving productivity. Each Aerolift unit is fitted with a vacuum pump which maintains a vacuum in a storage vessel. This is connected through a valve to sealed suction pads. When in use on a crane, the pads are lowered onto the top of the load. The valve is then opened and vacuum is instantaneously applied to the load, holding it rigidly to
