A 12-year-old boy was evaluated for a skin lesion on his left cheek. His parents noticed the lesion 2 days after returning from a 4-week trip to Venezuela. The lesion began as a 1-cm diameter raised papule that enlarged over the next 2 weeks to the present ulcer (Fig 1). There were no local or systemic symptoms or lymphadenopathy.
