Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Call for Abstracts 1993Annual Meeting May 17-20, 1993 San Francisco, California Program Chairman, James Niemann, MD, is accepting abstracts for review for oral and poster presentation. Authors are urged to submit original work in all aspects of Emergency Medicine, including cerebral resuscitation, pediatrics, cardiopulmenary resuscitation, toxicology, administration, trauma, EMS, shock, basic science, infectious disease, neurologic trauma, and methodology. Abstract submission forms will be mailed to all SAEM members and will be published in the December 1992 issue of Annals of Emergency Medicine. Abstracts not submitted on the official abstract form will be returned for resubmission. Call (517) 485-5484 to request an abstract form or obtain further information. Abstracts submitted or the resultant manuscripts must not appear in a refereed journal prior to publication of the Annual Meeting abstracts in the May 1993 issue of Annals. Abstracts presented at other national meetings within 30 days of the 1993 SAEM Annual Meeting will be considered for presentation. Annals is the official journal of SAEM and ACEP. SAEM strongly recommends that authors submit their manuscripts to Annals. Annalswill notify authors of a decision regarding publication within 90 days of receipt. Awards will be given for the best abstracts in the following categories: Clinical Oral (Human Subjects), Basic Science Oral, Methodology Oral, Resident/Fellow 0ral, Poster, Innovation in Medical Education, Resident/Fellow Poster, Medical Student, Technology, Pediatric Acute Care and Trauma, and Best Resident Paper published in Annals. Awards will be presented at the 1994 Annual Meeting, May 9-12, in Washington, DC.
