Society for Cardiovascular Pathology, Inc. The Society for CardiovascularPathologyis an incorporated organizationdevotedto the advancementof the study of cardiovasculardisorders. First organized in 1985 and incorporated in 1986,the Society now hasover 200 active members, representinga wide range of interestsin the field of cardiovascular medicine, surgery and pathology. The activities of the Membership range from diagnostic anatomic pathology to investigativework and education. The Society is truly international, with membersin 13 countries. Societymembers include many of the foremost authorities in the field of cardiovascular pathology. Our primary goals are educationaland collegial. The Society hasCompanionStatuswith the United Statesand Canadian Academyof Pathology, and organizesa half-day companion symposiumat the yearly USCAP meeting in March. Recenttopics haveincluded the pathobiology of atherosclerosis, the heart in suddendeath,andthe systemicvasculitides. The Societyalsopresentsa CardiovascularPathologyAchievement Award and a Young Investigator Award at a banquetat the USCAP meeting. Scholarlyactivity is supportedthroughthe Society’sofficial journal CumliovascuhrZWroZogy,publishedbimonthly by El-

sevier. A quarterly newsletter(COR Notes) keepsmembers advisedof important Society news,meetings,and other useful information. Our membersinclude pathologists,cardiologists,surgeons, MDs, PhDs,and DVMs, educators,and investigators,united by a common interest in the cardiovasculardisorders.
