Brief Description: ProtoPIPE is a powerful suite of drag and drop signal/image processing application development tools, providing rapid prototyping of complex imaging applications. Using stand-alone systems, networked systems, or a client/server architecture and an object-oriented interface, users can graphically design, develop, test, simulate, and execute data imaging applications in a fraction of the time vs. conventional programming techniques. Images can be edited, analyzed, and displayed in a wide range of data formats including; grayscale, color, numerical (Hexadecimal, decimal), analytical (Histogram, pixel info), and plots (2D, 3D). ProtoPIPE automatically recognizes and accepts all popular file formats. Editing features include region of interest (ROI), cut, copy, paste, scaling, geometric transformation, invert, ... A design library of 200+ optimized signal/image processing algorithms and utilities is available and promotes ease of use for programmers and non-programmers alike. Knowledge of X-Windows programming is not required. Users will now be able to save man-years of programming time by taking advantage of the drag and drop graphical programming environment, combined with the design library of 200+ reusable image processing algorithms. Users' investment in existing libraries is protected by the ability to use simple call routines enabling seamless integration into the ProtoPIPE environment. ProtoPIPE allows users to take full advantage of today's distributed computing environments. Applications can be executed on a single processor or distributed over a heterogeneous multiprocessing environment. Cost of program
