Special announcement
Multimedia components The Journal of Clinical Neuroscience is delighted to announce that multimedial components (MMCs) can now be part of articles published in the Journal. The multimedia components can be included in all types of articles and are particularly encouraged for manuscripts describing clinical signs or operative techniques. The development further enhances the value of the online version of the public articles within the Elsevier web products, such as Science Direct and Health Source. The multimedia components material can range from interactive movies to background data sets, from audio fragments to actual software. The arrangements are as follows: Authors submit their articles together with the MMC(s). The accepted articles, including the MMC(s), are then sent to the Elsevier Production site (Login Department), in Exeter, UK. The
article is registered in our manuscript tracking system (PTS) and forwarded to the supplier. Our suppliers will deliver all datasets, i.e. uncorrected proof (S100), corrected proof (S200), paginated and compiled proof (S300) including MMCs. In this process, the MMCs are treated in a similar way as other artwork files. Instructions for Authors: the details on file types etc. (preferred and supported), are published on the Author Gateway ÔArtworkÕ pages (http://authors.elsevier.com/artwork). I am confident that our Authors, as well as our Readers will appreciate this new feature which will significantly enhance the educational value of the Journal. A.H. Kaye Editor-in-chief
