Call for Papers Special Issue of IJF on “Forecast A special issue of the International Journal of Forecasting (ZJF) on forecast evaluation is planned for 1992. For the purposes of this issue, “forecast evaluation” should be understood to encompass both the scientific quality and economic value of forecasts, as well as the relationship between forecast quality and forecast value. Papers of potential interest include original contributions related to the process and practice of forecast evaluation, as well as to evaluation methodology itself. Innovative studies concerning the relative merits of different methods of evaluation and comparative evaluaton of alternative forecasting procedures (with emphasis on the methods used to make the comparisons) would be especially appropriate.
