the pantograph from patient to articulator

The standard procedure for transfer of the pantograph from the patient to the articulator can prove to be difficult. The maxillary and mandibular members of the recording device need further stabilization beyond the use of centric pins and lock screws. Stabilization of the pantograph before it is removed from the patient’s mouth is accomplished by the following procedure.

locator to the maxillary and mandibular members on the right and left sides of the pantograph (Fig. 1). 3. Mix quick-set plaster, put the mixture in a small paper cup, and place the cup over the ends of the clutch anchors to stabilize the two members (Fig. 2). The pantograph can be removed when the plaster sets, and it can be transferred to the articulator with maximum stability.
