allows for automatic pH electrode cleaning and calibration without interrupting the process. The au• tomation control box, Series 63 pH analyzer, and pH electrode po• sitioner are packaged for ease of use and maximum flexibility. Cleaning and calibration events are scheduled independently by the user. The analyzer automati• cally signals the control box to operate the electrode autoposi• tioner and dispense cleaning, rinse, and buffer solutions during wash and calibration cycles. The air-pressure-actuated autoposi• tioner uses two electronic sensors to verify when the electrode is fully inserted and retracted. The premium-grade combination pH electrode can handle a broad range ofapplications including those with steam sterilization, caustic clean• ing, clean-in-place, and other spe• cial requirements. A new refined zinc phosphate for carbon steel and DOM tubing that reduces sludge production and cuts manufacturing costs has been introduced by Henkel Sur• face Technologies. Bonderite 196XT is a single-package, nitrate! nitrite process, which can reduce sludge production by up to 301k and chemical usage by up to 20%. The new refined zinc phosphate shows a 10 to 20% reduction in manufac• turing costs compared to conven• tional zinc-phosphate processes. Bonderite 196XT is an internally accelerated polycrystalline zinc phosphate that is especially formu• lated to increase coating efficiency and help cut sludge production.
