SUMMARY OF CIRCUS SESSION ON DELTAS IN NUCLEI P. RADVANYI Laboratoire National Saturne, 91191 Gif-sur-Yvette, France

The invited talks by F.J. Moniz (Bates, MIT), C. Gaarde (NBI, Copenhagen) and J. Chiba (KEK) were followed by the short talks indicated below : G.E. Brown (Stony Brook) commented on A's produced in charge exchange reactions performed at Satume with heavy ions. He indicated that calculations by M. Soyeur and C. Guet were under way. These calculations are being extended to subthreshold pion production . J. Morgenstern (Saclay) reported on experiments performed at Saclay on the excitation by monochromatic photons and by virtual photons in e, e' reactions. A.A. Kuznetsov (Dubna) reported on the results obtained at Dubnaon the charge exchange ('He,t) reaction, up to an incident momentum of 10.78 GeV/c. Finally, A.B. Migdal (Landau Institute, Moscow) made a certain number of theoretical statements on pion propagation and A isobars in nuclei . He stressed that only one set of paramters has to be used for all nuclear phenomena.
