SUPERNUMERARY TEETH
he accompanying radiograph of an &year-old boy shows a supernumerary tooth in the deciduous dentition mesial and palatal to the deciduous right lateral incisor. The maxillary left permanent lateral incisor is erupted and in occlusion. The second supernumerary tooth is associatedwith the yet unerupted permanent dentition, that is, contiguous with the maxillary right cuspid and lateral incisor. It is noted that a definite lag in root formation (tooth development) is evidenced by the lateral incisor. cr’. A. Stepanek, D.D.S. Stickney Ttiwnship Public Health District Oak Lawn, Ill.
