In Brief • GEA has donated €25 000 to a project started by German aid organisation UNO-Flüchtlingshilfe (UN Refugee Relief ) to protect Syrian child refugees in Jordan. The UNHCR-backed project aims to supply Syrian refugee families with their basic needs and to allow child refugees to attend school. “The financial support for families not only allows necessary educational materials to be purchased, it is also a vital step towards effectively fighting child labour because it helps ensure that children no longer have to contribute to the family income,” said Jürg Oleas, chairman of GEA’s executive board. www.gea.com • Privately-held pressure pumping company Liberty Oilfield Services has completed its acquisition of Sanjel Corp’s US assets. Eureka partners with Caprari in Norway

ureka Pumps AS and Caprari SpA have formed a new distributor partnership for Norway. Eureka Pumps has been appointed as an authorised distributor of the Caprari brand of pumps, submersible motors and spare parts within the Norwegian market. The company will also handle installation, commissioning and repairs. The partnership will strengthen Eureka’s position in the municipal and industrial water and wastewater markets.

Technip, FMC Technologies sign business combination agreement

echnip and FMC Technologies Inc have executed a business combination agreement (BCA) regarding their proposed merger (see Pump Industry Analyst, May 2016).
