ANNOUNCEMENT THE 9TH U.S. NATIONAL CONGRESS OF APPLIED MECHANICS Cornell University, Ithaca, New York 21-25 June 1982
The 9th U.S. National Congress of Applied Mechanics will be held at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, during 21-25 June 1982.The Congress is organized by the U.S. National Committee on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the National Academy of Sciences, representing 10Institutes and Societies: American Physical Society American Society of Civil Engineers American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics American Institute of Chemical Engineers American Mathematical Society American Society for Testing and Materials American Society of Mechanical Engineers Society of Rheology Society of Experimental Stress Analysis Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics Sessions for general lectures, symposia on special topics, and contributed papers are being planned. Research workers in the field of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics will be invited to submit papers to the Congress. Further announcements concerning the symposia and submission of contributed papers will be made later. The members of the organizing committee at Cornell University are: Richard H.
