The Get-Acquainted IXnncrs, whit h have }wcwrne an important, part of the annual meetings of the American Association of Orthodontists, are enjoyable and pleasant occasions which seem to have supplanted the traditional stag dinner popular for so many J-cars as the “kick-off” of t,hc annual mrctings. This year’s (:et-l~cc~uairrt~~~l J)inncr was held in the (Georgian Room of the Statler Hotel in Boston on Monday, .1pril 30, at 7 30 r~.&r., with about 5X0 persons in attendance. Blackington. a noted lecturer on the folklore and Alton Hall Blackington. trBadit,ions of h’rw England, has been known for marry years as a lecturer on radio and television and as the author of sc~vcr~albooks on Yankee yarns. Thtl evening’s ent,rrtainment was conducted on an informal basis with the intent, of providing a feeling of local color. The Northeastern Society of Orthodontists were the host,s for the cocktail hour which preceded the dinner.
