ISBN 90 277 15025. Price: Dfl. 80, US$34.95. The proceedings of a workshop, held in Zurich, Switzerland, in May 1982, have been produced commendably quickly. The sixteen papers deal comprehensively with the disinfection of sewage sludge, to enable this material to be used in agriculture. Methods considered include pasteurisation, aerobic thermophilic digestion, composting, irradiation, storage and lime treatment.
