More details at: http://www.iufro-ao2016.org/en/ Meet the editors of the journal of Forest Management and Ecology Editors of the journal Forest Ecology and Management will host a session during the IUFRO Regional Congress for Asia and Oceania, October 24–28, 2016. The session will examine how ecological science benefits management, and how operational management can lead to improved understanding of the ecology of forests. The ecology of forests is the foundation for all forest dynamics and management. Advances in the science of forest ecology provide insights into forest changes, and support more successful management operations. The practice of managing forests across landscapes also provides reciprocal insights into the ecology of forests, especially for regional-scale issues that span diverse conditions. We hope you’ll consider joining in our session, or even contributing a presentation, if you can attend the IUFRO Div. 8 meeting: Session 66. Enhancing connections between forest ecology and management. Editors of Forest Ecology and Management.
